Probes have a limited lifespan and must be replaced occasionally. To extend their lifespan, the manufacturer recommends using cleaning kits to regularly clean the probes. After use, a protective cap should be placed on the probe to protect the probe from drying out. It is also important to always store the pH probe tip in KCl solution to prevent damage.
